I have been working as a luthier for over five years, focussing on making and restoring stringed instruments from the violin family. I have a special interest in early music and viols in particular.

I came to Lutherie after a number of years studying and doing all kinds of odd jobs.  My passion for music and a love of working with my hands lead me to making my own instruments.  A new world opened up and I began formal study of the craft, graduating with a first class honours degree in Music Technology (Musical Instruments) in 2008.

In early 2009 I established my studio at Cockpit Arts in Deptford (near Greenwich) with the generous support of NADFAS.  Since then I have been delighted to develop links with the nearby Trinity College of Music and Goldsmiths College, as well as orchestras throughout London.

My craft is a source of great joy and I am always happy to help players get their instruments, whatever the standard, into premium playing condition.  I  have also been fortunate enough to be able to share my talent with the orphans of Calcutta and am planning my next trip to the Mathieson Music School.  See the charity page for more details.
